Essential Smartphone by Andy Rubin

Essential Phone is a new smartphone company founded by Andy Rubin who,  if you didn't know is the founder of Android. The phone was announced on  30th of May 2017.

Why so excited for this phone? This device does pack some interesting spec and is also a part modular smartphone (that's what I like to call it). The first smartphone is called "Essential PH-1". The device is made of titanium body, ceramic back and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 cover glass. The Essential -PH 1 has a dimension of 141.5x71.1x7.8mm and weighs 185gms. 

It sports a massive 5.7-inch radiused corner display with 2560 x 1312 QHD resolution, aspect ratio of 19:10. The device is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU. It packs a 128GB internal memory with 4Gb of RAM and the website doesn't mention any expandable option. And of course it runs on Android OS. 

Camera department? Well, the Essential PH-1 features a 13MP dual RGB + Mono camera with image fusion technology, f/1.85 aperture which can shoot 4K video and 8MP f/2.20 aperture which can also shoot video upto 4K.

Battery of the Essential PH-1 is 3040mAh with fast charging. It supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.0. You can see the pricing in the Essential's official website. 

Essential has also announced Home whose OS is Ambient OS.
