Hugo Barra Leaving Xiaomi after 3.5 Years of Journey

Hugo Barra is leaving Xiaomi and returning(↻) to Silicon Valley. He joined Xiaomi in 2013 as the VP of International, which is leaving now. Xiaomi has recently launched the Redmi Note 4 has received immense response from techies.

In a twitter post, Hugo Barra tweeted:

His 3.5 year journey is now coming to end. In a letter linked above, Mr. Barra wrote
"Thanks for a great 3.5 years, MI FANS", "As I thought about this late last year, I concluded that Xiaomi is in a very good place on it's global expansion path, and if there was ever going to be a good time for me to come back home, that time is now - when I can confidently say our global business is no longer just an in-house startup".

Under Hugo Barra, Xiaomi has reached a great milestone, when they made $1 Billion revenue from Indian Market. They launched MI Mix concept phone which apparently blew many people's mind, with the thinnest body-to-screen ratio.

It has been great knowing you Hugo Barra and thanks for all the finest smartphones.

We at ASKNEXT wish you best of luck for future.
