LG G5 officially announced with Modular Design, Dual Camera and more

As always, most flagships smartphone start to appear in rumour before launch, same goes for LG G5. The new LG flagship LG G5 is now official with some mind blowing specs and design.

So, we had rumours of hidden chamber and all, but one thing LG came first in line is MODULAR, which Google has been teasing with Project ARA and still at nurture stage. The LG G5 has fluid metal body and beveled glass on the front says GSMarena.

Unlike every other OEM, LG ditched the antenna lines keeping the LG G5 plain in the back, except dual camera, fingerprint sensor and a single seam at bottom which separates the bottom removal part, that is the modular area. The modular part can be removed to access the battery and card slots and for several adds on like camera, speaker etc like LG CAM Plus and Bang & Olufen DAC for better quality audio.

The spec side of LG G5 includes a 5.3-inch LCD Display with always on mode. This feature works with a dedicated memory and power sipping secondary chip so that main chip goes for rest and it keeps the display on and GSMarena stated it only uses 0.8% of battery per hour.

The LG G5 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset, making it the first device to become official with this new chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory with microSD card slot for expansion. The LG flagship features dual selfie camera taken from LG V10, but as a main camera. One camera has 75 degree field of view and 16MP, while the other has much wider field of view about 135 degrees with 8MP sensor. For all this LG G5 packs small 2,800mAh battery which was bit of a shock by LG.

The LG G5 will launch in April early in few countries. Specs would be up soon.
