Google Launches Flood Alert In India

Google announced a new feature to keep people safe in India by launching the Flood Alert. The feature will be available via Google Public Alerts, which if you don't know is a platform that the California Giant uses emergency messages.


GSMarena stated " Clicking on an alert will display related details such as map, expected timeline, as well as tips on how to stay safe".

"Using data provided by the Central Water Commision (CWC), users can now find flood alerts wit river level information for more than 170 areas in which the CWC has active obervation stations, " the Mountain View, california-based company said in a blog post.

This is could be accessed both via Desktop and mobile, these alerts will be available on the company's web search, MAps and Now cards, as well as on the Public Alerts homepage.
