Android Lollipop 5.0 Firmware Update Rolling Out For Xperia Z1 Series

Good news Sony Xperia users, new android lollipop 5.0 firmware update has started rolling out to Xperia Z1 series phones.

The new firmware update will bring improved performance and stability tweaks. Here is list of what's fixed and included -
1) Ensured the lock screen/notification bar doesn't indicate "no service" when the device has coverage.

2) Added a sony feature; bringing back the "close all button" in the activity menu, so you can easily close all apps at once.

3) Unblocked devices with server policies (such as Exchange Active Sync for e-mail), to enable the new Lollipop lock-screen notifications.

4) Ensured the LED light is lit across all sound modes - and no longer offset by silent.

5) Made neccseesty fixes to enable movement of content from intetnal memory to external microSD card (something we saw affecting a few devices).

6) Improved messaging functionality in Ultra stamina mode - some conversations could be opened before Ultra stamina mode.

"This Android Lollipop 5.0 is also rolling out for Xperia Z1 series as well. This included Xperia Z1 series includes Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra." reported Sony Support Forum.
